Frisch, Max (Rudolf)
(15 may. 1911, Zürich, Suiza-4 abr. 1991, Zürich).

Dramaturgo y novelista suizo. En un comienzo se desempeñó como periodista, para dedicarse luego a la arquitectura, carrera que abandonó en 1955 para consagrarse a la literatura. Se distingue por sus descripciones expresionistas de los dilemas morales de la vida del s. XX. Su primera obra dramática, Santa Cruz (1947), dejó planteado el que sería tema central de sus obras siguientes: las tribulaciones del individuo complejo y escéptico de la sociedad moderna. Entre sus obras dramáticas cabe mencionar La muralla china (1947), Biedermann y los incendiarios (1958) y Andorra (1961). Sus novelas son No soy Stiller (1954), Homo Faber: un informe (1957), A Wilderness of Mirrors [Un desierto de espejos] (1964) y El hombre aparece en el holoceno (1979).
